CAMBODIA LANDMINE MUSEUM

If you are on the way to or back from visiting Banteay Srei temple, do not forget to make a short stop at the Cambodia Landmine Museum. This museum was established in 1997 by an ex-child soldier during the Khmer Rouge regime, Mr. Aki Ra. After years of fighting, he returned to the villages in which he planted thousands of mines and began removing them, by hand, and defusing them with homemade tools.

The museum tells the story of Aki Ra and the history of landmines in Cambodia. Moreover, the money raised at the museum goes to funding the relief center where children are housed, fed, educated, and given a bright future that they otherwise would not have had.

Price: 05 USD per person (not included the transportation)
