A day trip to Preah Vihear temple in Preah Vihear province (228 Km around 4h drive). On arrival, direct to visit the temple of Preah Vihear, dedicated to Shiva, located on the edge of a plateau that dominates the plain of Cambodia.​​​​​​​
Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Preah Vihear is an incredible temple located atop a 547-meter-high cliff in the Dangrek mountain range in northeastern Cambodia, near the border with Thailand.​​​​​​​

Dedicated to Lord Shiva, the temple is made up of four sanctuaries (also called "gopuras") connected by stone walkways and staircases. Preah Vihear is an exceptional masterpiece of Khmer architecture in terms of layout and decoration. It also offers spectacular views of Cambodia and Thailand.

Note: If you are leaving a bit early from Siem Reap, then you can combine this journey with the visit to the main temple Koh Ker on the way back.
